I cannot believe this beautiful young lady is getting married! I have known Logan for most of her life and I have seen her grow into such a beautiful woman. Her fiance is one lucky man. We met up downtown to do their engagement session and then moved to the sticks. Adam and his dad deconstruct old barns and recover the wood so they specifically asked to find an old barn for a backdrop. I feel so honored to be shooting their wedding in the Spring! Thank you Adam and Logan, you are a such a beautiful couple!

Let me just being by telling you how much of a reality check this session was for me. I have known Miss Jordan since she was born. I could not even begin to believe that she is entering her senior year of high school! It was such an honor to be asked to take her portraits. We were worried that it would even happen because there were some very frightening storm clouds on the horizon. Thankfully they held off for a few hours and provided a breeze and the most perfect light that I could have asked for. Jordan came with her head full of great ideas! It was so fun watching her creativity come alive. She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out. Thank you Mrs. Rhonda and Jordan!

The other afternoon I had a session with Kelly Pebbles boys. They are such good looking young men. The elder Mr. P. was so much fun. He especially loved putting on a fishing hat that sat by the back door. I love working with children like him, they have so much energy and I wish I could bottle up just a tiny bit of it. The younger Mr. P. was only two weeks old. He did his job very well. He stayed still when we needed him to and he loved being loved by his big brother. Thank you so much Kelly!

This past week we took a trip to the beach with my side of the family. It was such a relaxing time to get away from home. The waves and sand were wonderful, but I think we all loved watching Jack and my niece play and play and play. Early one morning, we took the babies down to the beach to snap some shots, and the light was perfect! I am so accustomed to beach pictures being taken at sunset, but if you want warm, beautiful rays try to head out around 6am. Here are a few from that shoot!

I cannot wait to introduce you to Miss I! She is a lovable and huggable little gal. I spent the other morning with her mother and her "Mia", working on poses and outfits. It was so much fun! I just love how sweet little girls look in their dresses. Layne even had one that has been passed down through a few generations in her family. What a special memory! Thank you Layne.
